This was a case where the driver of the vehicle that hit our client initially denied all liability. Our client was a pedestrian and crossing a street in a crosswalk. During the case, there was some debate as to whether or not the client had a walk signal to cross or a do not walk signal. Whiile crossing the street, our client was struck by a vehicle driving down the road. When we further investigated the facts of the case, we came across a witness that stated that the driver of the vehicle was driving recklessly before approaching the crosswalk. Additionally, our client suffered major injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. At the hospital our client was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). So even though the insurance comapny for the driver of the vehicle initially denied that they were responsible, given the fact that we had a witness to say that the driver was being wreckless and the fact that our client sustained a traumatic brain injury, we were able to get a good settlement for our client. While our client’s life will never be the same, due to his injuries, we were able to get him substantial compensatoin to help pay for his ongong medical care.
