Meet Marissa Temple
Marissa Temple came to Las Vegas 27 years ago from Mililani, Hawaii–a small town in the center of Oahu. Marissa attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, on scholarship and competed as a member of UNLV’s intercollegiate debate team. Marissa had aspirations of being a lawyer from a very young age after witnessing how much her father enjoyed the practice of law. Marissa loves Las Vegas and knew she wanted to begin her practice in Nevada, so she accepted a scholarship to attend UNLV Boyd School of Law as a member of one of the school’s first classes.
During law school, Marissa studied abroad at the University College of London, where she met her husband, Jeff. The two married in 2006 and have two wonderful children, Michael and Scarlett.
Before joining her husband’s injury firm, Marissa spent all 20 years of her practice as a defense litigation attorney representing big companies and major insurance companies. Over 8 years of that time was spent working in-house for a major insurance company and multi-state company defending claims brought by injured individuals, including slip and falls, car accidents, dog bites, wrongful death, and trucking accidents. She knows these companies’ tactics to pay injured individuals as little as possible. She is uniquely qualified to fight insurance adjusters and company representatives on behalf of hurt people to get them the maximum settlement they deserve.
Marissa loves spending time with her husband and kids in her free time. She also loves to run and spends hours a week exploring the beautiful trails throughout Las Vegas. Marissa is a board member for the Nevada Crohn’s and Colitis Foundations and serves Legal Aid of Southern Nevada’s Ask-a-Lawyer program several times a month.
