We represented a client who was visiting Las Vegas and staying on the Strip. One evening, he walked with friends to a nearby convenience store to get something to drink. While inside the store, he was attacked by an individual acting as a security guard for the establishment.

During the altercation, the security guard struck our client over the head with a baton. Our client suffered injuries serious enough that he had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Although the incident was captured on store surveillance video, the case presented challenges because the defendant claimed our client had provoked the security officer. We were able to establish that this claim was not true and that the security guard was responsible for the attack.
